Realme vs Redmi both are the leading companies in the mobile manufacturing market. They produce great quality smartphones with a tremendous amount of features and specs in an affordable price range.
The quality of their smartphones is getting better and better over time.
Thanks to the commitment they made, they will take the tiniest profit from their products. Irrespective of the quality of the smartphone or the features they pack, both of the companies try to retain a check over price range and manage to remain affordable for mid-range and lower range smartphone buyers unlike Samsung, One Plus or Apple.
On the other side of the debate, if we compare Realme vs Redmi. We have many points in support or in against for both manufacturers.
Realme is comparatively a newer brand, so they lack the developer support and software features. On the other hand, Redmi has ads inbuilt in their User Interface, and believe me sometimes they get very irritating and vulgar too.
Also, there is a big difference in the build quality of smartphones, most of the recent Redmi or Xiaomi phones are coming with an amazing Gorilla Glass 5 build and Realme still has that plastic build which is not that premium.
The latest smartphones at under 15000 price bracket from Realme and Redmi are Readme 6 and Redmi note 9 pros. Here we are going to compare both Redmi Note 9 Pro Vs Realme 6.
Comparison between Redmi Note 9 Pro Vs Realme 6 (Realme vs Redmi)
Processor and security – Redmi Note 9 Pro vs Realme 6
The latest Redmi or Xiaomi smartphone that they have launched is Redmi Note 9 Pro, with an eye-catchy design.
Redmi note 9 pro comes with an octa-core, kryo based Snapdragon SoC i.e SD 720G. This is the first smartphone with this latest 720G high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset in India.
The G in 720G tells us the processor in this Redmi note series phone is Gaming centric. So, at this price you are getting a phone that has a dedicated gaming GPU + CPU makes this phone one of the best deals in the current market.
This smartphone has some of the most unique features or specs around the smartphone world, like, the fingerprint reader or scanner on this smartphone is not on the backside of it.
The fingerprint scanner is embedded into the power lock/unlock button. The quality of the scanner is very good, speed and reliability are as good as any other premium phone on the market.
On the latest Realme phone that is Realme 6, we have a MediaTek processor. The Realme 6 packs a MediaTek hello G90T, same as what we have in Xiaomi phone Redmi Note 8 pro. The performance is very similar to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G.
Both of the chipset or SoCs are made for mobile gaming. The only catch with G90T is, it heats a little bit more than 720G. Talking about security, we have a stylish side-mounted fingerprint reader that is accurate and reliable at the same time.
Also, face recognition works fine on both of the smartphones!
Camera – Redmi Note 9 Pro vs Realme 6
Both the phones have a four-camera setup on the rear side. Although, The camera sensors that companies have used are quite different from each other.
The Xiaomi phone packs a 48-megapixel primary sensor from Samsung with 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 5 MP micro camera and 2 MP depth sensor.
Readme 6 on the other side provides more megapixel count, it has a 64-megapixel primary sensor from Sony, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 2 MP micro camera and a depth sensor of unknown megapixel count.
On the front, both of the smartphones have a punch-hole camera of 16 megapixels.
Features like Autofocus and night-mode work excellent on both phones. In our review, we found that according to us Realme 6’s image processing is a little bit better than Redmi Note 9 pro.
Also, the 64-megapixel camera on Realme is making the difference.
The colour reproduction is quite realistic and better in Realme, compared to Redmi Note 9 Pro which has a problem of sharpening images sometimes.
The front camera of Realme looks a little bit over unnatural, while Note 9 takes excellent photos.

The display panel on both of the smartphones is gorgeous. While Redmi Note 9 Pro has a 6.75 inch IPS grade display with Full HD+ display resolution, the Realme 6 has a 6.5-inch display with the same IPS and Full HD+ resolution.
The protection on Note 9 pro is a bit stronger with Gorilla glass 5 and Realme 6 has Gorilla glass 3. Realme has a plus on his side by having a 90 Hz display refresh rate.

The battery lasts for about a full day on Note 9 pro as well as Realme 6. The Redmi Note 9 Pro packs a much bigger 5,020mAh battery than the 4,300mAh one in the Realme 6 smartphone.
On our testing, we were getting around 7-8 hr of the screen on time on note 9 pro and 6-7 hr of the screen on time on Realme 6.
